Shorty Greene is a visual artist and arts educator. Using photography along with collage and printmaking to address matters of identity, history, intimacy and family. Her work is wide-ranging and exists between classic portraiture to double exposure to mixed media filtered through a Black female lens, focused on people of color.

Greene holds a MFA from Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts , a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute. Greene was a 2017 artist-in-resident at The Studios at MASS MoCA. Currently residing and working in Phoenix, AZ. Available for travel assignments.
